Joint Annuitant

A Joint Annuitant is a second person included on an annuity, often a spouse, who continues receiving payments after the primary annuitant passes away. Joint annuities ensure ongoing income for both people in a couple, providing lifetime security.

This setup can be especially useful for retirement planning, giving both partners financial stability. However, joint annuities may have lower monthly payments than single-life annuities due to the extended payment period.
